No mention of Roger McDowell spitting on Kramer and Newman while hiding behind a bush near the gravel road?

So did Kramer and Newman, but it was actually McDowell.

To this day I don't understand why Piazza didn't sucker punch Clemens when he turned away after the bat throwing incident. Let Clemens hit you back so he gets tossed too, and the entire series is changed.

That happened with Guillermo Mota and Mike Piazza back in, I think, 2004 spring training.

They are right about Prior, but they seem to imply he denies being injured when it's quite the opposite. Prior always claims he is injured, when the rest of the organization has basically labled him soft.

I was just going to post that. At least I'm not the only one that had to go do that immediately.

I have no idea who the pitcher is, but the batter that got hit is Tigers color commentator rod allen. no joke.

They missed a good one. Back in the 80's there was an infielder on the Gain'ts named Chris Brown (http://www.baseball-reference.com/b/brownch02.shtml). This guy was very good, but soon earned the nickname "hangnail". He was always hurt. Gain'ts fans really hated on him for being a pansy. :D:

I'm frankly surprised that Zumaya didn't make the list, seeing as he's now been injured while warming up and by a children's game.

I dunno if i'd call Guitar Hero a childrens game. I've seen 28 year old men playing that one for hours

I don't think getting injured often necessarily makes you a wus. I mean yeah if it's a minor thing like small cut on your finger, but not for the injuries that have affected Prior and others.

I don't know the extent of Zumaya's Guitar Hero problem, but a ruptured tendon in your finger is a pretty real problem. We're not talking about Jose Cardenal's stuck eyelid here.

I've been a fairly heavy gamer at times in my life(though not guitar hero), the wuss factor comes from the way he did it both times, not so much injury itself. On top of that, despite his raw skills, I still question if he is mature enough to handle MLB. I don't really care about his fist pumping and "F those guys" comment since he's on my team, but he still broke a longstanding unwritten rule of baseball re:celebrating after strikeouts. Everyone in this town is so enamored with his velocity that they ignore all this other stuff.

your's truly,
A tiger fan that dislikes Zumaya

That part I'll agree with. Somebody needs to tell Zambrano about that unwritten rule, and that if you do that crap, you can't get all indignant when a hitter celebrates a home run excessively.

what a coincidence, I'm a big Zambrano fan. sorry, I got playing as the Cubs in Baseball Mogul 2008 and I got hooked on the team. That's why I will not mention the cubs again after this post and any other sarcastic and caustic remarks will only be against teams we both hate(BoSox, Yanks, Cleveland, and Minnesota.

As I said, the fist pumping doesn't bother me, I just said I could understand why it might bother others. but he's young, he's excited to be out there, and he lets his emotions get away from him. he'll grow up.

the "F those guys" comment was funny though. It's nice to see a play speak his mind, even if Joel's thought processes seem a bit weird.
