Another reason why TV producers get drunk after a telecast :gulp:

With no outs in the top of the third inning Saturday, Orioles pitcher Daniel Cabrera (http://www.baltimoresun.com/sports/baseball/bal-orioles07-cabreracard,0,6786298.flash) gave up a leadoff double, and the Indians' Grady Sizemore strolled to the plate. For the players on the field and for the fans in attendance, it was all very routine. Those watching the game on television, though, were about to hear something that had no place at a ballgame, on TV or coming out of broadcaster Rick Dempsey's mouth.

I had that game on the TV, but had the volume really low because I was studying for finals.

Another day, another person somewhere in the world making a knuckle-headed remark. Here's a link of it ...

... if MASN ever wants to go 'Jerry Springer' with their O's coverage, all they'll have to do is tell Thorne & Dempsey that the shackles are off and just say whatever pops into their minds.

O's TV host sorry for domestic violence wisecrack (http://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/news/story?id=2864805)
Rick Dempsey is apologizing for attempting to crack a joke about domestic violence during a telecast of an Orioles game on Saturday.

Jay Gibbon's wife is involved with a charity to help victims of domestic violence. Dempsey thought he could be funny

"Laura, will this kind of help Jay in the domestic violence area? If he doesn't start getting a few more hits, you might grab him around the neck and rough him up a little bit," Dempsey said, according to The Baltimore Sun. "[Is] this money going to go to help him a little bit with maybe some of the hospital bills or something like that
