Didn't see this mentioned anywhere yet, and I know how much we love when the Yankees struggle and while possibly hemorrhaging away tens of millions of dollars.

They spent $41 million if I am not mistaken to offer him a contract.

I was wondering the same thing.
It is obvious King George is making room for the Mark Buehrle acquisition.

It might be so Clemens can work with him down at Legends Field. That's just a guess though

I honestly thought he had the most promise out of their whole staff.
Not surprising, though. He's no where near 40; just not a fit.

They want him to work with the brass at the Tampa complex.

Nardi should fix it!
I'm surprised your the only one to mention it:
" Igawa will work to rectify his delivery with Nardi Contreras, the club's pitching coordinator in Tampa, Fla."
Yankees pitching problems (not via injury) explained!

I think he's screwed. They always talk about how Japanese players have a tougher time than most acclimating to the bigs and the new culture. Sitting there in lame ass A-ball will make that much much harder. I say good luck to him and hopefully he doesn't kill himself with boredom.
