Man, I hate the Twins, but Mauer is just such a great player and easily one of my favorite non-Sox guys.

That being said, I'm glad we won't be seeing him this week.

I was going to comment on Lip's mention of this in the Zumaya thread, but then I noticed Mauer had a thread of his own.

It sounds minor, but catchers can have trouble coming back from those sometimes. I wonder if he comes back doing more DHing. Depending on whether he comes back before he's 100 percent, that could require another backup catcher, and possibly sending down a little-used pitcher from the pen.

I don't feel bad for anyone on the Twins, though. And I never will.
