BA had a decent night. Also pretty impressed with Vasquez's first AAA outing. Both Egbert and Day were real good tonight as well, just didn't get any run support.

Is that the same Vasquez that we got in the Cotts-Aardsma trade? I had heard that he was promoted to AAA. Was he doing very well in AA?

Yep, that's the guy we got in that trade. Here's his AA numbers: 0-0, 2 saves, 1.23 ERA, 14.2 IP, 3 BBs, 14 Ks, .160 opponent BA.

I was at the game tonight in Norfolk...played in a mixture of mist and rain...one of BA's outs was a shot to left that the Tides LF made a nice play on. Not real sure why Malone was lifted in the third and it came right after a controversial call on a hot shot down the 3B line that Fields made a nce diving attempt at and was called foul...he argued to the brink of ejection that it was a foul ball...ultimately led to 2 runs Fields also made 2 other defensive gems at third snagging hot shot grounders and making nice plays. Knights had the tying run on 3rd in the 9th with 2 outs, but Kenny Kelly struck out to end it...was raining hard by then. I will be back tomorrow weather permitting...and that is kind of a long shot...calling for rain overnight then ending sometime around noon and then very windy..up to 35MPH and temps only in the 50's
