The AL East is quickly becoming a joke.

The Yankees are going to use their TENTH starting pitcher ( in 30 games ) this weekend. I still expect them to make some sort of run but I'm beginning to wonder. Friday nights game with Seattle was just plain ugly.

I thought Toronto would be much stronger.

A lot of teams that were supposed to be good are kinda hovering around .500 right now. We'll see if they can turn it on here in May.

Toronto in a complete free fall now. They need pitching badly. Signing Frank was a bad move.

My the Jays fans are getting testy

It's a good thing we didn't pay all that money for Gil Meche and Ted Lilly – they're really sucking. Tomo Ohka, John Thomson and Victor Zambrano are a godsend. I'll be on Yonge for the parade.

Jays really have a must win game tonight otherwise they are 10 1/2 out.

Yankees at .500 are in second.

I still hear a comment from one of the yokels at ESPN here and there that the AL East is still the best. Mike and Mike had it right this morning though:

Mike: "The AL Central is the best division, I don't think that, its just how it is."

Mike: "I agree. The top 4 teams could win any other division in the majors"

I see wild card Chicago playing Boston in the ALDS
