Looks like Haeger got the start in game 1 of the doubleheader instead of Phillips. And his struggles continued in the 1st: 1 ER, 0 hits, 2 BBs, 2 Ks.

Anderson struck out on 4 pitches in his first AB.

Carter's been solid this year. Nice to have him bounce back after struggling in A ball last year. And I'm really excited about Cunningham too

That guy is opening some eyes this year. He and Gio are the two Sox farmhands that I'm most optimistic about.

I'm sure he's happy just to be making contact, to be seeing the ball and getting his timing back. He's had a manager really going out of his way to screw up his timing and finally he's getting some playing time. Hitting anything is better than sitting on the bench.

Made solid contact twice, he'll be hitting solidly within a short time. I think you have no idea how hard hitting in professional baseball is. If you did, or had one iota of class, you wouldn't be ragging on the guy.

Oh please. I'm rooting for the guy, but it's not like I know him personally or anything. When he starts hitting, I'll be the first one to give him praise.

Well, he better start hitting. With our aging, injury-prone outfield, we're going to need him to produce on the big-league club at some point this season.

Is it me or Josh Fields striking out a lot lately. It feels like forever since Gio has pitched. Lastly a poster earlier mentioned Gio and Russell being two prospects they are exited about. Well what about Egbert the kid is 2nd to Gio in K's and has being pitching very well.

Go Sox!

Fields has definitely struck out a lot this year...30 Ks in 92 AB's. He does have 18 walks, so at least he is getting on base via the walk. IMO it's definitely a matter of pressing. He's way too good of a hitter to be hitting only .207 in AAA. But then again, we've definitely heard of that story a time or two on the big league team.

Pretty sure Gio is getting the start tomorrow.

Which is why I am utterly shocked that Ozzie Guillen treated him so shabbily.

Sometimes, a message has to be sent. I think BA has been traveling a road that doesn't lead to success at the big-league level. Obviously, that needs to change. I still feel BA is the one who needs to change his ways.

I think that Ozzie Guillen lacks experience in player development and needs to improve in this area. KW thinks so also.

No, the bench doesn't lead to success. He can get some opportunities now.

If you are insinuating Brian's lifestyle hurt him in any way, remember Freddy was a drunk who also tested positive for marijuana. He didn't get the shaft, did he?
