We haven't heard anything "official" from the Sox office about Mr. Hall's recovery in almost 3 weeks. Today I also noticed that he is only on the 15-day DL. Anyone hear anything regarding his return? Especially with whatever move we make today we will have as many as +/- 4 guys who belong in Charlotte on the active roster. How much longer do we have to put up with this?

Per Rotoworld:

Toby Hall (shoulder) had a "do-or-die, let-it-fly" throwing session prior to Friday game. Hall made multiple throws from home to second testing his injured shoulder. "The doctor said I couldn't hurt it any worse [and] I felt better than ever after he said that," Hall said. "Gosh, I want to get out there." He hopes to return to the White Sox by the end of May.

FWIW, I was at the game on Sunday and saw Hall warming up Buerhle between innings. His throwing motion looked unnatural and he had no zip on his throws. Granted, it was only warm-up throws back to the mound, but I was surprised.

I would love to hear how his "do or die let it fly" went.

I was gonna post the same thing. Not sure how much you can read into it, but he was definitely short-arming lobs back to the mound.

I mean I don't know how he doing but if he can hit why doesn't he just catch Buehrle's games considering Buehrle is on the only pitchers who does a good job at holding the runner on. I'd be ok with that if he can hit, and just roll the ball back to the mound.

This article sounds pretty optimistic about his return:

After an examination by Dr. Lewis Yocum,Hall soon might go on a minor-league rehabilitation assignment.

...and more good news:
http://www.suntimes.com/sports/baseball/whitesox/373008,CST-SPT-soxnt06.article

Injured-reserve catcher Toby Hall continued his rehab program for his torn right labrum. After his latest bullpen session on Saturday, he declared that it was ''definite'' he would be coming off the 15-day disabled at some point this month.

Dr. Lewis Yocum then confirmed it. After seeing Hall, he gave him the green light to prepare to play.

I'm happy for the guy, but also a bit skeptical he's able to come back so fast. I hope he can stay healthy if he's truly ready.

I find it amazing that this guy can come back from this so soon.

I wouldn't be surprised if he returned then went right back on the DL for the rest of the season.

'I can roll it back to the mound, too!'
