If pitching wins championships, then why do teams, when building new parks, make the dimensions of the park small, like Busch Stadium instead of large, like Comerica Park? It just makes no sense to me. You would think that teams would like to get an edge at home when it comes to pitching. I think that our pitching would be a bit better if they hadn't moved the fences in.

It's all about how you build your team. The Sox are heavy on ground-ball pitchers (Buehrle/Garland) which means the easy homers help our Homer-Happy team.

Take a look at the Park Factors around the league and see that it doesn't effect a lot of teams as people might think, as long as you build your team around it, you aren't really affected.
