Watching on MLB.TV...Toronto just put up a three spot in the first, sending his era back to double digits. If this start gets any uglier I have a feeling Brandon's days on the major league roster are numbered.

I'll say it again, batting practice straight fastball.

If he can't get his breaking stuff over, his fastball becomes a hitter's delight. I like McCarthy. I hope he turns it around, but I think Kenny absolutely made a steal.

Duh. Masset will move to the starting rotation eventually, and Danks already looks like he's headed to be a stud. Not to mention we got Rasner, too.

Please tell me Big Frank got to him, I went with my gut playing him over Ortiz today on my fantasy team.

Aaron Hill drove in a couple with a single...I haven't seen Frank yet, dunno if he's playing.

BTW, Toronto just tacked on 2 more, thus far 5 runs in three innings.

I like McCarthy and hope he turns it around. It kind of makes me sick to see a thread focused on how bad he is doing everytime he pitches.

Not once has anyone wished any bad on him. There were many people here that thought it was a bad trade, and now it's showing that it wasn't.

Eh, don't look at it that way. I don't think it's anything against McCarthy personally. But everytime he performs poorly, it further validates the deal KW made with Texas.

McCarthy's final line: 3IP 6H 5ER 4BB 4K 9.90 ERA on the season.
Kenny is stupid! McCarthy will win 300 games and be a HOF!
To think that that is what people were saying when we traded him.

KW always seems to make the right move.

Today's line for Fingernails:
Pitcher IP H R ER BB SO HR ERA
McCarthy 3.0 6 5 5 4 4 0 9.90

At least no one went yard on him. :o:

It seems as though McCarthy is damaged goods. Every time I see his latest lines, I just thank KW for dumping him when we could!:D:

No kidding. The scary thing is he could of been the Sox 5th starter. :o:

I'm surprised there has not been a thread yet about why we need to get rid of Danks, maybe its because McCarthy is getting rocked.

I liked Brandon last year and I was fine with him being the 5th starter, but I was by no means excited by it. When Kenny made the trade I did scratch my head a bit but I was not angry with the decision. Only time will tell but I think Kenny made the right choice here.
