Whew! We can all relax now -- Bud Selig assures everyone that any purchase of the Cubs will go through him first.

In this story (http://chicagobusiness.com/cgi-bin/news.pl?id=24766) in Crain's Chicago Business, our favorite car salesman waxes poetic about the "very stringent rules" MLB has to screen new owners.

``I believe in local ownership wherever possible,'' Selig said. ``There will be Chicago groups, there's no question in my mind about that. Will they be the only groups? No. But there will be some very good Chicago groups.''
