I just heard about this on the DP Show I cannot say I saw it. But I guess Hunter got drilled in the face by the Royals pitcher. Kind of weird with the whole champagne fiasco as of late. It has not been a good week for Hunter regardless.

Like him or not, I think it's pathetic that you make light of someone getting hit in the face.

Grienke was the Royals pitcher. Theres no way Grienke did it on purpose.

Grienke is going to need a few months off now to re-coop.

Do you say that after seeing it?

I have yet to see it but I know Greinke isn't afraid to throw at guys. And apparently Hunter made an "abbreviated" charge to the mound.

Toriiiii apparently got hit in the face by a 2-2 fastball by Greinke in the 2nd inning of the game today.

He was taken to the hospital for x-rays and received 3 stitches. Linky. (http://sports.yahoo.com/mlb/news?slug=ap-twins-hunterinjured&prov=ap&type=lgns)

Zach Greinke owns the Twins.

On the other hand, the Royals have 4 hits and 9 walks but have somehow failed to score through 7 innings. :mg:

I hope he's OK. I hate to see anyone get drilled. A fastball to the dome can be life altering.

I don't mind seeing people get drilled, just keep it below the shoulders.

I vaguely remember talking about how the Twins offense was going to only suffer a small dropoff... Wow. They are playing really bad offensive baseball right now.

They should not struggle at home against the Royals like this. I mean it's not like they even faced Gil 'ga' Meche?!?

Why? Hunter is a clASS act and what comes around goes around.

When you play dirty - bad stuff will catch up with you. I'm not saying that I am glad it happened, but I know some of you out there secretly wished he'd face some chin music more than once.

I hope he gets suspended for acting like he was going to charge the mound.

If you are referring to Grienke's mental problems, I'd say that's real classy.

Some people have no class whatsoever. I saw Torii get hit in the head in spring training. Very scary thing to be 100 feet away from. Hopefully he makes a fast recovery.

Gooch had to duck out of the way from a pitch headed to his face the other night in KC.

What is Buddy Bell doing?????????

I think in that instance he was squaring around to bunt. And lots of pitchers are taught to throw up and in when a guy squares around. My guess is the pitcher just let the ball get away from him when trying to throw up and in.

I don't think Greinke did it on purpose. I didn't see it, but they said after he fell to the ground, Greinke rushed up to see if he was ok. If he purposely threw at his head, he would have just stayed on the mound.

Well, some people don't think he has mental "problems", but that's he just mentally weak (two totally different things).

Everything I've read said he suffered, in part, from severe anxiety. That's a very real thing and it sounds like he got the necessary help and is doing much better. Props to him!

Canadians. Gotta love em. They read books!

I collected the comic by DC Comics (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gilgamesh_in_popular_culture#Comics). I thought it was great, so I wanted to learn more about him. I remember being a little disappointed that the comics had nothing to do with the actual legend (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gilgamesh).

Haha. I read Ol Meshy last semester. Pretty interesting story. Kinda blows the whole Noah's Ark (well people taking it literally and not as a story) out of the water (pun definitely intended)
