Oh that's funny. Between this one and the Takasu commercial from a few years back, Paulie's got the ability to deadpan with the best of 'em.

I'm surprised they actually included a commercial with players from teams other than NY and Boston.

Hip hip, Jorge!

"Yeah, that's much weirder than my socks".

ESPN does always have amazing commercials.

I do have to give them credit where credit is due. They use a lot of different players/atheletes/sports even. Not everyone would know who the "Flying Tomato" was unless they watched the Olympics/Winter X games.

One of my favorites for them is the Tiger Woods gallery one.

I think that is Tim Hudson when he played for the A's. It's an old commercial.

It is Hudson, and it's about 3 years old.

Wait a minute. Isnt' that a remake? I seem to recall another ESPN commercial with the same conversation between Billy Koch and someone from the A's during Koch's first season with the Sox. Or am I just crazy this afternoon.

I like the new one with Ortiz breaking in the Yankee hat and the Red Sox mascot getting mad. I know it's another Yankee/Sawx angle, but still pretty funny.

When ESPN celebrated their 25th anniversary back in 04, I bought the book they came out with just because it came with a free DVD of SportsCenter commercials. The old ones are just as good.

They are waiting to get him in a Cardinals uniform....the Cards are more popular than the Sox.

God rest his soul. Steve was great, and I loved the fact that ESPN didn't play that commerical after his death.

No I think you're right. I remember seeing it too. But they were sitting around a TV and when they pointed to the mascots going around the poll it was on Television.. I totally remember that.
