This has been interesting. You've been able to hear his calls on the field as well as an explanation to Pineilla about a call. Kind of surprised that an ump, or the umpires assocation allowed this, as umps generally try to keep a low profile, but I've found it interesting.

Too bad they didn't have any ump mic'ed in last night's cubs/cards game. That was one crazy game to umpire, and the umps did a fine job of it too.

That's none other than Angel Hernandez. The guy is the ultimate primadonna in umpiring today. He always tries to take the emphasis of the game off the players and onto himself. There are way too many examples of Hernandez stopping play to make a spectacle. Any game you watch that he's umpiring, something is going to happen of his creation.
