Strapped on his 20 grit grinding wheel and ground out the game winning RBI single. http://whitesoxinteractive.com/chisox716/Erstad.jpg

There's a sandwich on his hat, a power tool on his leg, a marjiuana grinder on his chest, and an organ on his shoulder. Lots of dirt too. Oh I forgot to mention the coffee grinder on his crotch.

Oh I forgot to mention the coffee grinder on his crotch. We all know you were on your feet screaming for the Tigers pitcher to punch him out in that situation. It must have really sucked for Erstad to drive in the winning run for you. I'm sure there we so many more deserving statistical players on the Tigers. :redneck

Like him or not, Erstad won the game for the Sox last night as much with his D as his his bat. He prevented Polanco from advancing to 3rd in the 9th inning in what was an identical ball hit to left/center gap as Mackowiak in the 8th. Had Polanco made third on his hit, he would have certainly scored on Bobby's wild pitch.

:gulp: to Ersty.

Yeah, because it's not like I'm a Sox fan or anything.

Believe it or not West, the Tigers have their own fans who disagree with the managment's decisisons. See Sean Casey, Neifi Perez and Joe Table.

I'm just thankful that Mack, Uribe and Erstad managed to combine to give back the lead which they collectively blew by a very poor defensive play, which the Tigers are still trumpeting as a double.

That was all Uribe. Uribe was still waving them off even as he stepped out of the way.

I disagree, I think it was a team effort. BTW, BA makes that play, in spite of his being called "bumping" fellow players out of the way. When I teach kids baseball and the topic of backing up comes up, I always say, act as if the player calling for it will suddenly lose track of the ball and always be prepared to make the play. Besides, in that situation outfielders always rule.

Agreed that outfielders rule but when a guy is camped under the ball and waving everyone off, what do you expect? He was waving them off even as he was stepping away. What is Erstand and Mackowiak to do, lay underneath Uribe? And BA "for sure" makes the play? Even with Uribe waving him off? What should he do, knock him over?

That was all Uribe, plain and simple.

When I played ball there was a distinct hierarchy. Even if an infielder is franticly waving an outfielder off, the outfielder should take over. BA does this regardless of infielder. I saw him do it in Charlotte and Birgmingham.

Agreed that Uribe laid an egg.
