Kip Wells line on Sunday vs. the Texas Rangers...
K Wells (L,1-2) 4IP 11H 9R 7ER 1BB 1SO 2HR
One of the HR's was hit by former Cleveland Indian pitcher Dave Burba. OUCH! And Kip's pitching in Florida!

Numbers may not matter right now but giving up a homer to an American League pitcher is hilarious. Although I don't think its as funny as Esteban Yan going deep off Bobby Jones in his second major league plate appearance.

I'm sick of hearing about Kip already. He will be a decent pitcher, but just like anyone else, he's going to have his bad days.

I don't really think it's that embarrassing to give up a homer to a pitcher. I mean, Mike Hampton hit several last season. He hit so well that pitchers actually had to take him seriously. Early in the off-season, when there were rumors about the Cubs going after Hampton, I speculated that they could bat him in front of Todd Hundley. :)
