Just wondering, how many people, or what people here, are ST holders or just go to a couple of games. FYI: When I say ST, I include FULL/SPLIT/OZZIE.

NICE!!! I got that plan too. Where are YOUR weekend plan seats. I can come buy and say hello. So, the other two plans are your frieds/realtives/ETC?

I still live a little too far away to do season tickets yet.

I totally understand. That is one reason I do not have a full plan (Aside from the price!) I live in Chicago, but I have trouble doing the commute. HEY, AS LONG AS YOU GO TO SOME, MAKE THE MOST OUTTA THEM!!!

College Student = Single Game Tickets

Job in a few years = Full Season Ticket Plan

I'm a college student, so single game tickets, but I usually end up going to more than an Ozzie plan share of tickets. I just don't have the money to front at first, and like to decide closer to game day which games I am going to.

In a few years I plan on getting ST though.

Same here I still go to about 15 games a year plus 2 or 3 KC vs Sox games in KC.

I have my own Hit & Run week day Season Ticket plan in the lower deck down the third base line. It works well for me, as I live just a mile from the ballpark, have a day job, and am busy at least one or two weekends of each month.

Last year I had a partial season plan.
This year it looks like I'm going to one game.
I'm off the bandwagon....:D:

I bought an ozzie plan last year but I have a newborn on the way this summer so skipped the plan this year. I always get tickets thrown at me and have already lined up 8 games on free tickets including 2 suite games.

My goal is to not buy tickets all year and get to 10 games..

I like the flexability of going to single games. I go to between 15 to 20 games a year so it would make sense to get a ticket plan, but the one year I did it I had to miss too many games for various reasons, so I'll stick with the game to game ticket s for now.

"Aw partner, you know he's gonna go out there and type in one word just to run it up."

:hawk
"Oh yeah."

:DJ
"Did you ever play with a manager that let you do that? Or did that himself?"

:hawk
"Well, when I was playing for Alvin Dark in Kansas City, I remember one day after the game I came back in to the lockerroom, and an old pitcher you might remember, DJ, was Sudden Sam McDowell. And Sam had just had a rough outing...gave up 7 or 8 runs, and Alvin had to pull him after four innings. The Twins had just run on him left and right too, they were running whenever they had a chance because Sam couldn't keep anybody on base. Anyway, after the game I go back to the clubhouse and Sam was sitting there having a cigarette...this was after Dick Williams had been fired. But, Sam was sitting there, and Alvin came up to him and said, 'Sam, if you're gonna go out there and not throw over to first base, at least let me know. We'll call a pitch-out or something.' And Sam just looked up at him...and you have to know Sam, because he had a carmine derriere if anybody ever had one. So, Sam looks up at Alvin and says, 'Alvin, I walked seven guys today, hit a guy, threw two wild pitches and couldn't grab a strike to save my life, and you want me to pitch out?'"

:DJ
(anxiously awaiting the punchline)

:hawk
"And Alvin looks back at him and says, 'nevermind'."

Weekend plan.I work a lot of nights, so I don't make it out to too many weeknight games. I occasionally get Wednesday nights off, and I usually go to the park on those nights when the Sox are home. Like last night, for example.

I am a former season ticket holder -- I was in on a 4 seat plan with my Dad and brothers. We had a full season plan back at Old Comiskey (great seats in the Loge Boxes, upper deck behind home plate) that morphed into a 36 game plan at New Comiskey in the early 90s because my Dad had us cancel the tickets when the Sox threatened to move to Florida. ("When your wife is suing you for divorce, you don't take her to dinner" He said). So when the stadium funding came through, we weren't on the priority list to shift to the new park. We purchased a 386game plan in the upper deck in 1991, shifted that to the bleachers the following year. After the strike in 1994, we cancelled and vowed we would never return.

My Dad has honored his pledge. I buy 3 to 4 single games out a season ticket plan here at work, but I attend at least a dozen games or more on top of that a year through business vendors. They know I'm a Sox fan, so I get free tickets thrown my way all the time. Its a great racket!

I didn't think I would be able to either...but once I did it and get a season plan it will be very hard to decide not to have one anymore.
