I posted about this in the Parking Lot thread on the VT shootings. Granderson is moving very fast up the list on a "All Time Tiger" for a lot of fans. MLB needs to promote him. They sent him to Europe this past winter as an ambassador for the game.

MLB should promote him he seems like a really great guy.

Of course he's classy. He went to UIC. (Hint hint: sig)

Seriously though, great to hear. And I agree MLB (and professional sports in general) needs more people like him.

They had a great interview with him on XM 175 this morning talking about this and his work with Detroit public schools. He seems like a very likeable guy who truly appreciates the opportunity he's been given.

Forget the fantasy stuff...when's he a free agent? I'd like to see him in a Sox uni, especially because he's a Chicago kid.

I seem to remember from a couple years ago when he came up that he was a Sox fan... seems like a good all around guy.

My brother had class with him at UIC and always said he was a lot of fun.

I'd loooooooooove to see us make a run at Granderson...He really is an all around good guy, and a hell of a player.

If only he grinded a little more.

He's from Lynwood Il and went to high school at TF South here in Lansing. My son's 1st grade teacher went to school with Curtis. Last season Curtis gave the teacher and her husband great seats at the Sox park for one of the series.

He visits TFS on occasion also. In the hall across from the gymnasius you can see some personal affects Curtis donated to the school; UIC and Tigers bats/photos etc. He is all class IMO.
