ruh-roh

Haeger threw 6 shutout innings. Pedro Lopez made an error to start the 7th, and Haeger gave up back-to-back-to-back homers.

Logan comes in and gets the side out on 5 pitches.

Plus, since the game was part of a DH, that was the equivalent of blowing a CG shutout in the 9th inning.

Haeger pulled and Logan brought in . . . too late. Logan quickly retires 3 batters.

I know. I was hoping to see a complete game shutout.

I still think Haeger is going to have a long big league career. I'm just not sure if it will be with the Sox.

Still 4-4 in the 9th. Reynoso in and walking everybody.

The Knights blew a great bases loaded-one out scoring chance.

Logan tossed 2 scoreless.
Reynoso (W) 0.2 IP, 0 R, 0 H, 2 BB, 0 K.

If Terrero continues to hit this way, does anyone think he might be better on the bench then Anderson? If Anderson goes down, he can play everyday and Terrero can provide solid (not great) defense but a better bat...

The Barons are underway with Egbert on the hill.
No score through 1 inning.

The I's still trail 1-0 through 5.
Delossantos 4.2 IP, 1 R, 1 H, 4 BB, 4 K.

Game 2 probables:
- Broadway for Charlotte
- Gannon for Winston-Salem

Why? Buerhle is gone next year...and Garland will be up for big money...

He is reputed to have an outstanding slider. I think BA ranked it the best in the system.

Wow. If it is better than Day's or Aardsma's that must be pretty nasty.

Him throwing a knuckleball is insignificant. Those guys are all great prospects, but I could have gave you a list just as long with Sox prospects in 2000-

Wright, Purvis, Myette, Ginter, Gueirrer, West, Malone et al.

Point is, if he is the best knuckleballer since Wakefield, then you can bet the Sox will have a spot for him.

I'm on your side. If it were up to me, Haeger would be on the Sox now. I'm just not seeing Ozzie and Kenny jumping on that bandwagon. Plus, the catchers constantly bitch about having to catch it.
