They must have hired the world's best structural engineers. I honestly don't know how the place doesn't topple over

It must be some sort of off season contest amongst the front office to see who can come up with a way to add more seats.

Just build a new stadium already. For real.

I'm glad that they are taking steps to keep the old park around. Fenway still has all the charm it always has. We are too quick to dispose of things in our society. Fenway has a great history and I would rather it be altered than destroyed. It has always been an abnormal park, these additions just make it stranger.

The ticket prices, on the other hand, are outrageous. The AL East is an expensive neighborhood:

Dugout Box (Infield, D29-D61) $312
EMC Club $286
Dugout Box (Extended, D9-D16, D72-D80) $260
Home Plate Pavilion Club $205
Pavilion Club $158
Green Monster $140
Dugout Box (Canvas Alley, D3-D7) $130
Right Field Roof Deck $110
Field Box $105
Green Monster Standing Room $30
Right Field Roof Deck Standing Room $30
Right Field Roof Deck price includes a $25 food credit per ticket. http://boston.redsox.mlb.com/images/trans.gif

As someone who works on the roof of Fenway I can tell you it was a little shaky up there when they just had the old roof boxes.

Now what was called the 406 Club behind home and the press box has its own seperate foundation build in 1988 but the rest of the roof is as it was in 1934 when the park was rebuilt.

Honestly I don't know how much more weight it can handle as the reason Fenway never had an upper deck was the park is built on filled in swamp land that used to be part of the Back Bay
