Hit with a shot back up the middle. On the pitching hand or arm.

Line drive to the left forearm...first reports say it might not be broken. :(:

It did not look good at all but he says he can move his fingers and thinks it is not broken.

You still having MLB.tv issues? The 700k feed still shows a black screen for me.

You could a lump swelling on his forearm while he was walking into the dugout. Not good.

I think we should bring in Contreras or even Danks here. The bullpen is already spent. We could bring up Phillips or Haeger for Saturday's game.

Hey, don't worry, remember what happened the last time we thought Buehrle broke something!

Yes, it went from the worst thing ever to the best thing ever. Buehrle has the ability to bounce back from broken bones in under 24 hours. Its no wonder he has not missed a start in 6 years.

We need all the help we can get at this point. What's the over/under on Boone coming back up? I'd give it less than a week.

WGN played the reply three times in quick succession. Hearing the ball smacking Burly's arm, thwack, thwack, thwack, sounded sickening.

This is probably as bad of an Opening series as could have been expected.

No where to go but up!

They should call up Haegar to pitch in this weather. Humidity is the knuckleballers worst enemy - this is the perfect weather for him. Spot start him to see what hes got.

A contusion was one of the first "injuries" that sent Mark Prior to the DL. Keep breathing friends, I think Prior is the only player in history to go on the DL for a contusion.

You got it backwards. Humidity and low altitude are what makes a knuckler dance. Thin air and dry air make the ball go slow and straight.

I was at the last home game last year when Haeger was pitching. There was a rain delay and he continued afterwards. We snuck down near Home and that ball was dancing like Fred Astaire in 90%+ humidity!

Given how well he threw, I wouldn't mind seeing Nick get a start if Buehlre won't be able to go in 5 days.

I agree he looked pretty good going the distance. I also was getting encouraged by the way Mark was throwing the ball as well.

It was the cold weather. Makes it hard to focus on baseball (especially if you're the White Sox  )

I could hear it back by the foul pole on the 3rd baseline. I'm not kidding. It was as loud as the hit.

I knew Prior would somehow be brought up in this discussion.

Buehrle heals fast, much like Wolverine and Buffy the Vampire Slayer.

Yeah this doesn't sound nearly as bad as the "broken foot" he had in ST (was it 05 or 06?? I'm going crazy!)
