I don't know, I think it's pretty amusing.

they figured out to photoshop a uniform much better than topps or upper deck

I like how they superimposed the Jays logo on the White Sox uniform at the end of the commercial.

They missed a couple of Sox symbols in the dugout behind him.

Yeah what was up with that? They couldn't use a clip of him from Oakland Alameda/McAfee?
So that commercial was actually banned? Isn't there a professional pillow fighting league that just started up?:o:

I think that was funny! Don't understand the unnecessary banning considering the other crap on television.

Frank you know not to lift that back leg!

Did they use a stunt double for Frank running up the stairs? I also love how Frank lifts his right leg on his pillow follow through, just like when he bats! :D:

I didn't even notice that, but I laughed out loud when I saw that. I'm pulling the Blue Jays, I'd love to see them win that division while New York and Boston stay home...and then I want to beat them in the ALCS, a little revenge for 1993 please!

That was hilarious. People are such idiots. I can see the Trib headline now, 'Ex Sox legend abuses children'

I like that commercial. If this is banned, I can think of a good dozen or so commercials that should be banned for causing mental anguish.

He pulled the kid too much. Should have been looking to go to right center.

Aww C'mon. This commercial is funny. I would have loved to see the White Sox market Frank like this, NOT AS A CHILD BEATER :D:, but as a fun player.

If you want to see a stupid commercial, look at those McDonald's AJ/Zambrano ads. BRUTAL!!

You're right.
The McDonald's commercials are worse.

I liked it. It was cute in a few ways. What I don't like is that they put a Blue Jays jersey on Frank in old White Sox highlights.

Wow, soccer moms rule this world.

This is seriously banned? There are far worse things in this world then seeing a player jokingly hit a kid with a pillow.

Did you all notice how Frank was referred to as Mr. Thomas during that article? How refreshing is that? How often have you read an article where our players were referred to as Mr. Dye, Mr. Konerko, Mr. Thome? Shows a little respect in my opinion.

Everybody gets referred to either by their full name or with a formal title.

Good commercial. Ridiculous use of censorship...
Do you thing it was banned because there was a kid getting hit with a pillow? The superbowl commercial (rock paper scissors) comes to mind where the guy throws a rock at the other guys head for a beer- would this be banned in Canada too? What about childrens hockey- do they allow fights? Oh well, better to let this one go here in fear of getting political.

That is the obvious reason. It's Canada, though - no need for most us to worry about it.

That commercial is funny and not even that violent. It seems that their whole campaign is about that:

Roy Halladay's

Lyle Overbay's

Those are freakin' hilarious! I'd rather get hit by a pillow than attacked by a swarm of bees.

Good stuff. The Frank one is pretty tame if you ask me. Some people just need to settle down. I thought the Overbay one was hilarious as well.

LOL these are great, excellent marketing campaign by the Jays. I love the Vernon Wells one, and the Glaus one is a hoot too.

I love that commercial, kudos to Blue Jay marketing!

A few things I noticed:

1. Frank Smiling
2. The railings on the stairway could be a bigger concern than the kid getting hit by the pillow
3. Frank's back foot is off the ground in the follow- thru on the pillow swing.

I love it!

This the type of stuff the Sox need to do rather then the "back to the grind" nonesense.

Ain't that the truth!!!

This is almost as silly as Dave Winfield getting booked and arrested for killing that bird in TOR back in 1983.

Some people are just way too sensitive....

Canada has decided to ban (http://www.nytimes.com/2007/04/09/business/media/09jays.html?ex=1333857600&en=d4b7ed2c54e9e313&ei=5124&partner=digg&exprod=digg) this playful pillow fight spot, deeming it too violent for the airwaves.

Pretty funny.

Damn hats off to the Toronto Blue Jays marketing department, these commercials are great.

The Vernon Wells, Troy Glaus and Lyle Overbay ones are my favorite.
