Work brought me to Kauffman Stadium in KC yesterday and it was the telecast from hell.
Because ESPN was televising the game NESN was forced to use camera positions not usually used and we found out very quickly why. Our CF cameras became useless as the fountains in CF were in use for almost the entire game and the spray kept landing on the lens.
Must admit the park still looks great considering it is 34 years old but for those that thought the upper deck at The Cell was steep they should check out the upper deck at Kauffman as I think it is very similar to the way USCF was.
Royals will be a scrappy club in 2007 perhaps winning as many as 75 games, be wary of them.
Highlight of the day was the flyover of a B-2 stealth bomber.....it just appeared out of nowhere.
