The New York Mets (http://sports.yahoo.com/mlb/teams/nym/) were third at $117.9 million, followed by the Chicago White Sox (http://sports.yahoo.com/mlb/teams/chw/) ($109.7 million), the Angels ($109.3 million), the Los Angeles Dodgers (http://sports.yahoo.com/mlb/teams/lad/) ($108.7 million) and the Seattle Mariners (http://sports.yahoo.com/mlb/teams/sea/) ($106.5 million).

The Sox are pretty cheap, huh?

I know that the Sox aren't a cheap team, but it also says in the article that they aren't taken cash considerations into account. IIRC, we're getting a good amount of cash considerations for Vazquez, Thome, and Contreras.

I think Contreras is pitching on the Sox deal that he signed last year so there certainly is no cash considerations for that. I think we are getting minimal cash considerations for Vazquez as well ($2m ??). Thome is reducing our salary by approx. $8M per year.

No longer for Contreras this year.

The next 3 years for him is pure White Sox money.

I can't believe I forgot about that deal. Hopefully he won't have to many games like yesterday in the next few years.
