Sounds like Dustin is doing very well for himself.

From the Cubune (http://www.chicagotribune.com/sports/baseball/whitesox/chi-0703120038mar12,1,7457304.column)

Dustin Hermanson is throwing so well he could replace David Weathers as the Reds' closer

Good to see him recovered. I understand why we let him go, but I still hope he does well elsewhere.

We probably have 4 guys in our pen who could be their closer at this point.

Regardless, all the best to Dustin.

Three words: David Weathers blows. What do the Reds have to lose if they give Dustin a shot?

Good luck in the Great American Ballpark. Still if he;s pitching well it's an instant upgrade.

I hope he does well and kicks the Cubs ass!! He might be the most overlooked guy on that '05 Sox team.

I have to give this guy credit. He is one tough SOB. To try to come back the way he has shows that he really loves the game. Plenty would have given up on it and went into coaching or broadcasting or something. I hope he holds up and has a hell of a season in Cincy.

I was kinda wondering why the Sox didn't resign him.

To me, this mainly shows how miserable the Reds bullpen is. Nonetheless, I hope Dustin does very well for himself. He deserves it after what he's been through the past year+. He was so key for us in '05, it's a little easy to forget that because Bobby came on so strong.

yea Hermanson was a great signing by KW, he was lights out for a few months before Jenks came in.

I have a friend in 'zona who insists Jenks is Gone, its over for him.
He also says we shoulda kept Dustin.
Cincy is in real trouble from what i can tell.

I think he won the "I look the most bad ass in the 05 WS DVD" award...

The guy looked like he came from a gothic concert or something. But nevertheless, it would be nice for his own sake if he was able to rebound his career.

He's a complete warrior. There aren't many players I respect more than Hermie. A class act all the way. I hope he does well.
