I hope it's not against policy to post youtube videos here.

The final game ceremonies of Tiger Stadium were put on You Tube.

What made me think to put it here is the link below is part 1. At about 8:00 minutes in you can see Billy Pierce come out. I know he passed away last year so I thought you all would want to see one of your legends take a final call at a place he played for 2 seasons.

I was at the last game at Tigers Stadium (second row of the bleachers). The game and ceromonies were awesome.

They arrested (http://espn.go.com/mlb/news/1999/0928/82972.html) Ron LeFlore as he left the field after the ceremonies for failure to pay child support. He was scouted and signed out of prison as well.

Oops. I'm sorry aobut that. Maybe that article is why he was in my mind. I knew I read something about him last year from this site. I knew I should have checked his bio.

Well it's good to hear he's still alive. The video is still cool.

Yes, everybody thought he was Gates Brown when he came out.

Here's some video of Billy on the mound in his White Sox days. And, yes, he's still alive and well, even though he enjoyed "the flavor and mildness" of Camel cigarettes.

Did Billy say anything like "Reports of my death have been greatly exagerated."

Is is still being pegged for a commercial/residential development? I thought I saw that somewhere.
