There goes my pipedream of seeing him in the home dugout at the Cell next year

I like Michael Young, but $16 million a year seems a bit much.

If the trend continues, Konerko's contract in years four and five is going to look like an incredible steal.

Young will not be worth that kind of scratch at 34 or 35.

I am in the same boat...How much do you think this effects the ammount that Crede will get at all?

IMO, at current market values, Crede's price tag is already at $12 mill per. If he has a .275, 25 HR, 85 RBI season or better in 2007 and especially if he also wins his first Gold Glove, he's over $14 mill per.

And then they wonder why they don't ever have enough money for pitching. But he will be worth the money for the first 2-3 years of this contract.

I hope that the White Sox will resign him even if it means a 5 year/$75million deal
