White Sox pitcher Gavin Floyd, contending for the fifth spot in the rotation, suffered a mild sprain to his right ankle Monday morning and had to leave the first inning of an intrasquad game.

Doesn't sound too serious, he'll be out for a few days, though.

Yep, doesn't sound too bad but I would rather him not have sprained it at all.:D:

Doesn't sound particularly serious. First time you get it up to full speed against members of your new team can be a nervous time, not terribly shocked that he'd have a minor injury. Hopefully he can go again on Friday.

Will we see any stats or a box score from the Thomes v. the Konerkos today? :D:

When I first saw the title of this thread, I though "Oh ****!", but, thankfully, it doesn't sound too bad, according to the article.

Apparantly Floyd gave up a run scoring double to Konerko, that's all I know.

Scott Reifert posted a recap. The Thomes win 7-5, with Masset picking up the W.

Looks like Uribe, Gooch, and Fields all had nice games. And even better news about Floyd...he's supposed to take part in drills tomorrow.

"Don't hit it to Uribe," someone shouted, "He's on a work-release program."

In the blog, they managed to merge Eduardo Perez and Kenny Kelly into one player, Kenny Perez.

Nice to see BA get off to a good start, hopefully Contreras will start to get on a roll near the end of ST and carry it into the season.

And good to see Ozzie setting the tone early with aggressive baserunning.

I thought...

"Hey, Dwayne Wade," AJ Pierzynski offered. "Need a wheel chair?"

...was the funniest part.

Crede should have darted out of the way of Haeger's knuckle ball Matrix-style.

How did this happen?:?:

It explains it in the article...
Floyd turned his ankle and landed hard while delivering a pitch to Joe Crede.
