Spring Training is here, everybody riot!

I know it is meaningless, but the Cardinals start things off playing a Florida college team. Just the fact that there is a game on right now gets me pumped. I guess this can serve as sort of an around the league type update thread, non Sox related. The stats mean nothing, but we can follow up and comers, interesting situations, former players, injuries, etc.

It looks like ESPN is doing some games as well. There is a week by week type schedule here http://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/schedules Starting with this Friday.

Let\'s get it on!

That looks like the Surprise stadium, home of the Rangers and Royals.

That's Roger Dean Stadium in Jupiter, FL. A guy I know works for the Palm Beach Cardinals, so I've seen many pictures of their ballpark. The Major League team trains down there.

I think it's Surprise.

Those big mounds in the background are giant waves, not mountains.

That Texas 'T' on the wall behind the stands is another hint. Its Surprise.

Good call. You are correct. You can clearly see the Rangers symbol on the brick section over the RF bleachers.

I guess I didn't study the picture well enough. I didn't see the mountains in the background.

Nice looking stadium! I'll have to get there one of these days.

To be fair, you can't see them in the picture you posted.

These things of course are just personal preference, but IMO, Surprise Stadium is the best one in the Cactus League.

Isn't there a Sox/Angles game on XM this afternoon?

I agree. Great place, and free parking. The only problem is it's waaaay out there. Large beers are kind of steep too ($6.50).

Seeing how these teams are not playing each other today, I doubt it. They don't even play other teams. White Sox first "real" game is tomorrow (Rockies) and the Angels is on Thursday (Royals).

Yeah, but I'm insane; I drove down to Tucson on Saturday just to watch a workout! :D:

An AZChiSoxFan, who're you crappin'? Ho-Ho-Kam is the best one in the Cactus League.
