I was just about to post this. It's the first article I have seen in a very long time that doesn't make mention of contract statuses or any of that crap, which everyone is tired of hearing about, including Guillen I'm sure.

Why not? If they can lay some consistent baseball they have the talent to win 90-95 games.

I love Konerko...he's confirming what a lot of us have been saying about the "proven commodities" guys that fans are so afraid to let go of.

"In this day and age, you have to make moves like that," he said. "You just can't hold onto the proven commodity because what winds up happening is all those guys [fizzle] and they're making a bunch of money, you can't dump them anywhere. It's that simple. I'm not saying it was going to happen, but you have to guard against that kind of stuff."

If this is the article with lots of Konerko quotes about the club, 2006 and Free Agency, it should be combined with one already started...

I think the 2007 team has more talent than the 2005 team. I think your estimate is a little low.
