Oft-injured Kerry Wood is out again -- this time because of a flub in a hot tub. Awwwww they started using WSI slang terms...

We all know what's next....

PRIOR SLIPS, FALLS AFTER DEAN HANDS UNUSUALLY HEAVY DEGREE
DEAN SAID TO BE A WHITE SOX FAN

EDIT: Is it the dean that gives you your degree? Or is it the president of the school? As you can tell, I'm still in college... :(:

Seeing as he lost 30lbs this off-season I wonder if a stiff wind knocked him over.

I swear, you can't make this stuff up. It's gets more and more priceless every year. This has to go down as one of the funniest damn injuries since...well...Cub pitcher Steve Trout hurt himself falling off an exercise bike.

Sounds like a line out of a Dr. Seuss book -

Balsa the Cub, spent his day in the tub
But he flubbed in the tub when the Cub hit his nub
The Cub in the tub with the flub on the nub
Needed a sub with no flubs to replace him as a Cub

Was is Remlinger or someone else that pinched their finger on those bullpen seats and went on the DL? That was ludicrous as well. And who could forget the too much internet for Bozo?

I'm surprised this didn't happen sooner with all the times he's been on the injured list.

Yep, that was Remlinger. He got his finger caught in a recliner while sitting in the clubhouse. Another funny Cub one was back in the 70's, Jose Cardenal was late for a spring training workout because, (I swear, I am not making this up)- his eye was stuck shut, because he was extremely tired due to a cricket in his room had kept him up all night.

Just wait until he comes out of the gate poorly, or gets injured down the line. You can see them relating the hot tub incident to anything. "He got a late start in spring training..." or "The lingering effects of falling down caused...". It's not a horrible story for the guy. He's got an excuse for anything that happens to him. And we all know about that franchise and excuses...

Not until he is traded to the Braves.
Keep in mind that "He'll only miss a few days of throwing," when translated from Tribune-speak to English, becomes "Pulled a finger muscle breaking his fall, out 'til June."

Every Cubs spring training, a strange injury happens to one of their players. I think I'll bet money on what next year's strange injury will be.

:DJ Uh-oh! Someone should have put down a floor mat.

All of the towels were tied up in knots already for him and Prior to start their rigorous ST exercises. There were no spare towels to throw on the floor.

Yep, that was Remlinger. He got his finger caught in a recliner while sitting in the clubhouse. Or Farnsworth hurting his leg/foot after kicking a fan (cooling device, not blue sheep) in the clubhouse after yet another stellar outing.
