SOME NOTES ON EDUARDO PEREZ:

~Happy at his new home: The White Sox latest pickup should be happy in his new home. Perez is hitting .304 with two homers and 12 RBIs lifetime at US Cellular Field.
~All in the family: Should he play in a regular season game, Perez will be the fourth son of a Hall of Famer to toil for the Sox. The others: Earl Averill Jr. (son of Hall of Fame catcher Earl Averill who played for the Sox in 1960), Charlie Lindstrom (son of Hall of Famer Freddie Lindstrom; Charlie tripled in his only at bat in his only big league game for the 1958 Sox; and Ed Walsh Jr. (son of the Hall of Fame pitcher Ed Walsh, a Sox legend, who played for the Southsiders from 1928 to 1930 and in 1932).
~Some good numbers: Perez is a lifetime .320 hitter with a homer and five RBIs at Minnesota's Metrodome. ... Perez is hitting .295 with four homers and 10 RBIs at Cleveland's Jacobs Field (.281 overall against Cleveland) and .296 with a homer and five RBIs at Detroit's ComericaPark.
~Some not so good numbers: Perez is only hitting .182 at Wrigley Field and .198 overall against the Cubs. ... Perez’s career average against Detroit is .227.
~Disparity: Perez is hitting .265 with 50 homers in his career against lefties and .232 with 29 homers in his career against righties.
~Pencil him in: Perez is hitting .667 (6-for-9) with a home run lifetime against Detroit lefty Nate Robertson. ... Perez is hitting .400 with a homer against Indian southpaw Cliff Lee.
~Join ‘em: Sox lefty Mark Buehrle has to be glad Perez is on his side now. Perez is hitting .389 with a homer in his career against Buehrle.
~Not a bad resume: Perez has hit more homers off Randy Johnson (4) than against any other pitcher. Perez is hitting .273 with a .667 slugging percentage against Johnson. ... Perez is 4-for-8 with two homers in his career against Tom Glavine. ... Perez is hitting Mariano Rivera at a .333 clip (2-for-6) with a homer.

Chuck Lindstrom, whose father Freddie is in the Hall of Fame, had two plate appearances for the Sox in 1958. He tripled and walked and retired with a 3.000 slugging percentage.
