Didn't see this anywhere

It is Harrelson's passion for the game and unique broadcasting style that holds the fans' interest, and it is his 18 years of getting the job done on the South Side of Chicago that earned Harrelson the Lifetime Achievement Award at the 19th Annual Comcast SportsNet Sports Awards benefiting March of Dimes.:hawk

Good for Hawk! I don't know what I am going to do when Hawk retires, a lifetime achievement award means that not far down the road. I just can't imagine sittin back, realaxing and strappin it down without him.:whiner:

19th Annual Comcast SportsNet Sports Awards

ummm Comcast has been around TWO years.....

Now they could have taken this over from FSN Chicago but there was some bad blood between those 2 companies when CSN raided FSN dry

Not if he happens to be voted into the Hall of Fame for broadcasting. :D:

Congrats to Hawk!

I am still going to hold onto my opinion that he is overrated and not very good, but he still deserves Congratulations and is one of the most public figures for the White Sox.

I don't think many Sox fans hate him. The ones that do just have to tell us over and over and over again.

Exactly! I for one, despite the many miles and Many Many years away from Chicago area [21 years], cannot wait to hear the first Hawkism of the year early next month.
Try listening to other announcers:o: ...., now 'snoring'.

Congrats Hawk ...You can put it on the boooooard, ..... Yes!

"You can put on the board........YES!"

Congratulations to him, he really is a good broadcaster despite what some people will tell you. He's a nice to say the least. I remember one time back in 2002 when the Sox were losing badly against the Twins, during the 7th inning stretch, I waved to him and he waved back at me. Say what you want but he makes games worth listening too.
But, Hawk should be a rodeo announcer right?
