For those of you planning to go to pittsburgh
june 15-17, well i have news
ALL downtown hotels are sold out!!!
The US Open PGA tourny is that weekend.
Ive called 6 diff hotels and all are sold out
Rooms still available near the airport for around $100 a night
So if you havent booked and want to be near PNC- forget it.

Thanks for the heads up, soxwon. Just as my wife and I were deciding between Pittsburgh and Baltimore this year....guess we'll be going to Camden this year!

Ok I need to step in and ask why the Sox are playing Pittsburgh again next year in Pittsburgh.

And why are they hosting Houston again. Granted there is the whole sentimental "We swept them in the WS" aura but come on, mix it up a little.

17.8 miles or 21 minutes. Not a foot or minute more or less.

And as with most airports, it's in the middle of nowhere. The other thing that sucks about the Burgh is that taxis are very scarce. PNC is definitely worth seeing, tho.

if you rent a car, it's not too bad...i did that for the all star game.....aside from ball game traffic, it was a breeze.
i stayed in robinson township, home of michael keaton

What were the parking prices by the stadium?TONS of parking in the general area. i didnt park in the lots near the stadium. you'r enot far from downtown, so i recommend parking there and walk/bus the rest of the way.

Last year I made the trip and got sick at my future in laws' house.
This year, it's on like Donkey Kong.

If there's a hotel problem, you might be able to stay in a motel in the North Hills. It's right off the highway, and not too far from the stadium. You're talking a 15 minute drive. It might end up being one of the only options.
