I was noticing on the Sox 2007 online schedule that most away games have start times announced already. Is this something that we can expect soon for Sox home games?
I'm just trying to get my ticket draft picks in order, and it would be nice to start the planning soon!

Yeah, I'm surprised too that the final schedule hasn't been posted. They're probably waiting to see what games they want to have as Premium or whatever before they make up a printable schedule.

but we don't yet know which specific games will be day games or night games, right? Since there are some weekday games (mostly Wed. or Thurs.) played in the afternoon, I'm eager to see which are day games and which are night games.

No, I only have the Hit and Run plan (weekday) FOX and ESPN games are usually decided a month before the season begins.

6:05 start time for the 4th of July game? :?:

Hope they have fireworks that night.

My account shows only the April 2 and 5th Cleveland games and the 8/22 KC game as starting at 1:05 pm, but I only have the Hit & Run Plan.

Just keep in mind when the Sox are playing well again this year, a number of their Saturday games might be moved to 12:05 or 3:05 because of Fox.

That ruined a bunch of tailgating Saturday's for me!!!!

Yep, I had 2 fireworks nights scheduled w/ the family that were ruined. Oh well, if that's the worst problem we have this summer I'll survive!

When do single games go on sale?

Edit: NEVERMIND, found the post from yesterday. Wish we could get an exact date, I need to ditch school in advance :-p

It is. www.whitesox.com (http://www.whitesox.com)

When planning your games based on what we are being told about the start times, keep in mind that they are subject to change. This is mostly true about weekend games that FOX or ESPN might want to pick up.

The better our season, the more games they will pick up.

Has Fox even selected which games they would like to air yet? I was under the impression that they won't be doing that for a few weeks. Could the 2:55 start time just be a "placeholder" until the actual times are ironed out? Of course, Fox has the option of picking up games rather willy-nilly so even published start times don't mean too much.

I don't think it is that easy to piece together the schedule. Hell, the Sox schedule at Fox Sports and whitesox.com don't even match. It also seems strange that all the Fox Saturday games are at 2:55. These were at 12:05 last year. Did Fox get rid of noon games for 2007? The Saturday Sox-Cubs game is show as 12:05, just as it was last year.

I still question if those 2:55 starts are actual or just placeholders until the updated schedules come out.

When does TBS start carrying national games? Is it 07 or 08?

2008.

Under the TBS agreement, TBS will telecast all regular season tie-breaker games, all Division Series games and the All-Star Game Selection Show each year. In addition, beginning in 2008, TBS will telecast a window of Major League Baseball games on 26 Sunday afternoons. TBS will continue to air Atlanta Braves' games through the 2007 season, a year in which that contract and the new deal will co-exist.

So, I know all the Saturday 6:05 games (and the 7/4 BAL game) will have fireworks, assuming they don't get moved to afternoon for national TV. But last year, some Fridays also had fireworks.

Does anyone recall if those Friday games had fireworks because the following Saturday games got moved to the afternoon? Or were they pre-arranged as such?

The schedule is set ahead of time so the Sox didn't add Friday fireworks to compensate for Saturday Fox games; they would have gone on regardless of the Saturday game.
