I predict that a late season 2002 news article will proclaim
that Magglio Ordonez, all star right fielder for the 1st place
Chicago White Sox has had a break out year; leading the
league in rbi's & among the leaders in home runs & batting
average

shall i begin the chant now that will echo throughout Comiskey
Park?

"Magglio........MVP MVP MVP MVP MVP MVP MVP MVP MVP!"

go go SOXXXXXXXXXXXX

Maggs really suffered last season because Thomas wasn't there to protect him & nobody was getting on base for him out of the 1-2-3 slots. With Lofton leading off & Thomas back in the lineup I think Maggs is in fact going to have a breakout year.

I think Mags has been putting up pretty consistent numbers the last few years and you can expect a pretty good increase in numbers this year, but not a ton of increase in terms of press clippings...I mean look at his numbers for the last 3 years and tell me he isn't one of the most underrated players in the game....with Frank coming back I think the guy who has the most potential for a breakout year due to less pressure and a better situation is Carlos Lee

If the AL and NL don't know it now, they will soon.Mark it:this is the breakout year for Ordonez,Konerko and Lee.Just having Thomas in the lineup makes this a better ballclub. But please don't let me see him with a first baseman's glove fielding grounders. That wicked shot by Ichiro that he dived and missed lingers on and on and on and on.

Keep your eyes on Ordonez this season. It may be his best yet.

"Can't wait to see that fat ass David Wells waddle into Comiskey.Nothing but line drives!!"
