From the back, it looks like a Yanks jersey.

How much does a figure like this run for?

Well...kid....I know that. I was saying the stripes look too dark, after looking at a few of these, i figured out someone repainted them.

Just go to Ebay and type in: Custom Mcfarlane, and start looking. I usually check it out atleast 2-3 times a week. They are repainted.

Look at Pauly, taking it the other way.

Konerko was locked and loaded on that grand slam, the above doesn't really capture it. Still, what a great moment. I'm getting verklempt over here.

In the picture the catcher has his right hand in front of his body...in the figure it's behind him...and it's very similar to the figure of varitek with the ump...not a coincidence, I don't think.

I'm not sure who the repaint is of the hitter, but the catcher fig is Varitek - repainted.

Not only that, but if Paulie happens to miss, that ball is going over Ausmus' head.

I don't remember that much snow on the ground that day.

Sweet. They need to make one that shows his reaction after he dropped the bat.

All of the figures posted by Jeff have been horrible. All repainted and lame.

Pass.

It looks like Konerko is taking the pitch the opposite way, not pulling it like he did.

Listen guys, these are all repaints that i found pictures of on the mcfarlane website by a guy. I thought they were pretty good for repaints, but hey, everyone has there own opinion.

The Konerko figure looks like a repaint of the Scott Rolen figure. For somebody doing these at home, I am impressed.

It wasn't snowing, but there was a lot of cold rain. Makes me cold just thinking about it.

So these are NOT McFarlane products, but are doctored by some individual and sold on eBay? Is there any evidence that McFarlane has done anything like that, reissuing the same figure repainted (other than maybe the same player in a new uniform?)

Thanks for the compliments. These are my Sox figures that this Kruzer dude keeps posting.

All of them are repaints as I said on the other thread(s). McFarlane will not make a small time team like the White Sox more than once every 3 or 4 years or so, so I made my own. Made just about the whole team.

While I do sell other customs of mine on Ebay, I have never or will never sell my White Sox (or Bears) customs.

Well, the face of Konerko is a good likeness but the view from the catcher's side is not quite accurate.

Wonder why they didn't have these on sale before the holiday?

Hate to say it, but that is horrible. They really messed that up. Something as simple as making Konerko pull the ball should have been easy....they have him taking it the other way.

EDIT: My bad, I guess I read the thread too quickly. That is very nice work for a repaint!

why not? there are alot of chicagoians (myself included) that would rather buy a custom from a fellow fan not some random dude....

I think that you're missing the point - that he's not doing this as a business or money-making venture, just as a hobby for their love of the White Sox and the 2005 WS Champs. Eg, not for sale at any price, I would imagine.

Its pretty good, the only thing I would say is (and I realize you can't change this on a repaint) the ball is too high, Konerko got around a lower a pitch and elevated it. Especially for someone doing this just for white sox love, its awesome. I couldn't color in a picture that accurate.
