Are those custom re-paints by some McFarlane collector, or are they actually being produced and sold by Todd McFarlane?

I'm going to guess that those are repaints of the Mariano Rivera and Jorge Posada figures from the Yankees set from last year. That pitchng motion looks nothing like Garland.

When did Freddy become Eric Gagne?

AJ is a repaint of Jason Kendall

Yes, I have to apologize. I just looked at the Yankees figures, and it doesn't look like Rivera or Posada poses. I'm assuming Garland is a repaint also, but of whom?

The only Sox player they released last year was Pods.

The original poses are from Prior and IROD.

The only non Sox player I have, just for the cool pose, is Dontrelle:

At least these look better than the Sox bobbleheads that were rushed out after the World Series. Those were very poor.

Some of these figures are excellent (Willis, Ramirez) but the Garland one is terrible. Pierzysnki isn't bad. Certain players work better as action figures than others...Garland isn't one of them. You can't make a character out of a someone who has no character, and it's clearly not his body.

Like I posted before, this is a repaint of MARK PRIOR which came out before the Clement one.

These are obvious repaint jobs,
why would Dye be standing on a NL on-deck circle?

gotta give this guy some credit for the paint work,
...but the starting canvases just don't work

Because he is in a road jersey, and it's the WS edition or whatever, so that would mean he is at the Astro's home turf.

but, for the WS, they use either a ws logo on deck circle, sox logo, or al logo

That is the funniest thing ever. Tiger should personally sue the **** out of whoever painted that. He looks like a cross b/w a well dressed Pedro Martinez and a short haired Lenny Kravitz yelling into a microphone.

Dude, those are my Sox figures. Thanks for giving me my credit, too.

Anyway, I've done almost the entire '05 team by now - even the guys who have been traded (such as Cotts and McCarthy).

Yes they are just repaints, but despite what some people think, they are almost all accurate at their base. I have pictures where Garland is in that exact pose, and Garcia pumped his fist almost identical to that when coming off the mound in Game 4 of the series. Dye is on deck, and I have since made the base the World Series 2005 logo. Since it was Pujols to begin with, thats why it was the NL. Besides, he's in his grey away's anyway, so it worked regardless.

Feel free to see a few others on my website, though not all are up yet.

Why is Buehrle's face blurred out on his pictures?

SMO

TheQuestion
01-03-2007, 10:06 AM
Thank you, Realist.

StillMissOzzie, the reason Buehrle's face is blurred out is because I had not yet sculpted his face. I used Mark Mulder as the base figure, and it obviously looks nothing like Mark. I wanted to show off the figure up to this point, so I figured it was best to blur out the face instead of getting told over and over again how it didn't look like Buehrle! :D:
