Thought I'd get it going.

I'm sorry to see you go!!! I hope you have a great year!

My favorite player - gone. I just hope Danks is the real deal.

I will miss hearing about how he was drinking in downtown bars the night before he lets up 3 big runs in a game...and the arguments that ensued here on WSI about it.

Thanks for stepping up big when you were needed the second half of 2005. Wear your world series ring with pride. I hope this trade works out for both teams.

For that reason alone I'm glad we got rid of him. I don't want a guy on my team who leads such a questionable lifestyle of drinking at bars, even if he is 23 and single.

The universe is defined by its impermanence. I'm disappointed to see Brandon go. I loved the stripey shoes he wore in 2005.

If you don't count the 6500 or so that think they play honorary short center.

That position only exists when Mack is in center.

All the best to Brandon - thanks for stepping up in 05. Sorry we didn't get a chance to see him throw a full season in the rotation.

Well its been a nice time, key games in 05, some nice spots in 06 (lots of cringing as well), but I was an early adopter of faith in you Brandon. Make us all proud and win some games for that lousy pitching staff in arlington.

Now its time for a new name I guess. Any ideas???

Cheese, I was sitting very close to you there. McCarthy's parents were sitting directly behind me. I talked to them most of the game, as I was the only Sox fan in their immediate area. A Cub fan friend had brought me to the game, after his wife got sick, and he was pizzed I got in his car w/ a broom when he picked me up. I think I was 1 section closer to home plate.:gulp:

I was at the Labor Day game in Boston (possibly McCarthy's best career start, so far). If he can find that consistency, he'll be really good -- 16-18 wins a year good -- but he's not going to find it in Texas. Didn't Texas hammer him when they faced him in Arlington?

I was at that previous Friday game 5/20/05 when Freddy Garcia brutalized and ate the souls and children of Cub hitters.

You were one of my favorites, Brandon, and I think you'll have a great career and hope you do.
That labor day peformance in Boston was unbelievably clutch and I'll never forget it.

Thanks and good luck

Thanks for being a trooper in 2006 while you were mis-used beyond belief, especially when much of the staff struggled. That extra-inning performance against the Red Sox before the break was pretty cool. I think you will win 200 games before all is said and done, good luck.

Eat something though dude.

Good luck in Arlington, Bmac! (and don't even think about trying to hit AJ with a pitch - Padilla style.......)

Farewell Brandon, I wish we would have the opportunity to see if you could repeat the feat of giving up at least one earned run in 9 of your final 10 appearances in 2006 (or more eloquently put, in a White Sox uniform)

So basically you think that BMac will go on to become one of the top 200 starters of all time? If that's the case, we made a terrible mistake.

As far as being misused is concerned: you get a shot to pitch in the Majors, you get the job done no matter what role you're given.

Can I ask what name he used here? And if so, what was the name he used here?
