MIAMI (AP) -- Florida Marlins (http://sports.yahoo.com/mlb/teams/fla/) pitcher Dontrelle Willis (http://sports.yahoo.com/mlb/players/7133/) was arrested Friday morning on a drunken driving charge along a Miami Beach street lined with nightclubs.

An officer saw the former NL rookie of the year stop his black Bentley in the South Beach neighborhood, get out of the car around 4:30 a.m. and urinate in the street. Miami Beach police spokesman Bobby Hernandez said the officer noticed signs of intoxication as he approached Willis, who failed a field sobriety test.

He probably should have gotten the Bentley with the interior bathroom option.

Give the guy a break. I'd be drinking too if I felt like my career was stuck with the Marlins........

I was talking about the Bentley itself. What kind of message is he sending by owning a foreign car?

For the life of me, I cannot understand why these athletes, who make millions of dollars, don't just hire a full-time chauffeur?!? Then they could drink themselves into a stupor every night and avoid all these DWI's. It's not like they can't afford it. :dunno:

A shame, he is really one of the more likable guys in the league.

Great point. Especially considering how much they have to lose by getting busted, or worse, getting in an accident.

Easy...he doesn't want anyone else driving the Bentley, which must be seen.

chaufeur? How about a cab? If you are going out drinking and make that much money, take a cab or splurge the 1000 bucks or whatever and hire a limo all night...

Might lower his trade value...
