Jon gave up two homers. One to Quinten McKracken in the first, and one to Erubel Durazo in the third. Maggs' game in the 1st and 4th. Not sure how many people were on.

Well, you were right., through 5 it is now 10-5 Sox. I'm not too worried about Garland though.

Relax.

Yeah, they were both solo homers.

By the way, the Maggs homers were a solo and a 2-run homer.

Go to Sports.Yahoo.com. Under home runs it says like Magglio Ordonez(1) off Curt Schilling. 1 meaning how many runs are scored.

(hey 100 posts!) :D:

Sorry, (1) means it's his first of the spring. For some reason, they keep track of that stuff...

Are you sure about that? Go here:

Look at the number in () and what inning they are in. That is how many runs were scored in that inning. Coincidence maybe?

Chisox_cali

Now I got 10-6 Sox from Sportsline

I looked back and Ordonez hit a homer in the first spring training game so the number in () has to be how many runs scored, since the Ordonez homer today is not his first.

Chad Moeller hits a solo homer off Corwin Malone in the top of the 7th. After 7 innings it is 10-7 Sox.

Man Malone is really getting knocked around this Spring I hope that doesnt mess him up this year in the minors wherever he starts AA or AAA

Can't. It's not being broadcasted anywhere, so we are doing the best we can right now.

Hm, maybe there is alot of scoring this inning since it hasn't been updated in a while.

Let's hope it's the bottom of the inning that is taking so long.

If this was during the regular season, I would be really worried right about now.

Pete_SSAC

Could it be that they aren't posing until the game is either over, or there is an inning that someone scores?

I noticed that the LA/Expos game was in the 6th inning or so for a looonnnngggg time, then suddenly the next udate was the final, and only one more run was scored.

- Pete

doctor30th
03-09-2002, 11:32 PM
Well if no one scored you would think the game would be over already.

czalgosz
03-09-2002, 11:33 PM
Or there's a delay. Game should be over by now... I don't care how many runs you're scoring, it doesn't take 45 minutes to play 2 innings.

HawkDJ
03-09-2002, 11:34 PM
Well this is certainly interesting to say the least

CBS, MLB, and ESPN.com are all stuck in the same place. they must get there updates from the same guy on a cell phone, and his battery must have went dead.

That ten run inning against the scrubs lasted a half hour.

Chisox_cali

Well Sportsline is stuck on 10-7 Btm of the 7th, which would be a good thing if there was alot of scoring. But ESPN has it stuck 10-7 top of the 8th, which would be a bad thing if there was a lot of scoring

doctor30th
03-09-2002, 11:36 PM
Well a half of an inning can take 45 minutes if you score 10 runs.

Pete_SSAC

12-7 Sox, and I do beileve that's a WHITE SOX WINNER!

For me on ESPN it shows 12-7 Sox in the Bottom of the 9th.

doctor30th
03-09-2002, 11:38 PM
actually Sports line is stuck on the End of the 7th (essentially the top of the 8th). They update at the end of every inning.

We really shouldn't get all too excited about a Spring Training win. If the people who need to show something in spring training (Howry,Parque,Wunsch, etc...) do good that is a much bigger victory. Oh well, it doesn't hurt to win though!

Now I heard the White sox are telling everyone in Florida that Clayton is extremely available. Lets hope, that since he's hitting good, some team will pick him up (hopefully national league so it won't bite us).

Anyone got a link to a box score from that game? Can't find one anywhere, and that is the one thing I truly follow during ST.

Ouch. Six walks for Garland. That bothers me more than the two homers do.

doctor30th
03-10-2002, 11:58 AM
This early in spring it doesn't bother me. The pitchers haven't even gone through their dead arm period yet. After that happens is when you start paying attention to thier pitching.
