Not bad at all, considering the going price for relief pitching.

Well I don't know the rule with international players, but doesn't he not have enough MLB service time regardless to file for FA? So otherwise, this was just a way of avoiding arbitration right? If not, then yes his agent should be fired.

I think that instead, he needs to speak with Juan Pierre and have a pow-wow. :redneck

Saito had all the power in this deal even though i think what he did was illegal. Hopefully this is a precursor to Broxton becoming available and hopefully to the sox

Broxton isn't going anywhere.

Broxton isn't going anywhere.
LA still needs SP and a Corner OFer good for 30+. They got a deep farm and deep pockets.

Well at least one guy signed for what he's worth + a bit under. Good riddance to this agent for not completely screwing over the team.

They know that Broxton is their closer of the future. They won't trade him, no matter the need for SP. They play in a weak enough division where they can go with a guy like Matt Kemp in the OF.
As for SP, I'm thinking they'll sign a free agent, most likely Schmidt. The Dodgers just signed the Giants trainer, and he knows Schmidt's arm better than anyone.
