Does anyone know what it is? I was under the (apparently mistaken) impression he was a free agent.

Thanks - it'll be good to have him back.

Arbitration eligible for both '07 and '08 and free agent for '09.

Which under the new rules means nothing. Plus, arbitration contracts are not always guaranteed. If KW shocks us and pulls one of his deals that has us saying 'how did we get him?', there is a chance either Cintron or Ozuna will not be back in 2007.

This is good because Cintron is a very good backup. Lets say we still have the same infield up the middle next year. I feel very comfortable if either Gooch or Uribe get hurt that Cintron can back them up for a rasonable amount of time. He can also give them some needed time off. Having this kid for the next two years probably will be a very nice luxury.

I have heard of no such thing that eliminates arbitration years. Please explain.
