It's the third place flag they'll be raising to remember our wonderful 90 win third place season. :redneck

It's a breast cancer awareness flag I think. It looks like it has a pink ribbon on it.

While the flag in LuvSox's sig is the Swiss flag, I do not believe that is the picture of the flag at the park.

That's Kenny Williams doing... he's "raising the red flag" over his concern about the "bogus" trade rumors going around....

The flag will be replaced with a white one if KW trades Crede.

Usually a red flag indicates a severe weather alert or high wind warning , but why is it flying at the cell?

I read somewhere that Barry Bonds and Manny Ramirez are repelled by the color red unless it is on a Red Sox uni.

I'm not crazy, it's out there the wife and I both have been wondering about this for a couple of months. Nobody else has seen it?

Well if it has been up a couple of months that is a breast cancer flag. It went up in October, it looks red from a far but I was sitting on the Ryan right there for a half an hour a month ago and was able to make it out.

It's part of our Homeland Security color-coded terror alert system. Since the area around the Cell is very dangerous and riddled with crime, the alert level around the ballpark is always at "Red".

Historically, and most generally, the red flag is an international symbol for the "blood (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Blood) of angry workers (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Working_class)."
Although much older than socialism (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Socialism), the flag has mainly been a socialist (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Socialism) and communist (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Communism) emblem associated in particular with those ideologies (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ideology)' revolutionary (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Revolution) left (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Left-wing) and Radical Left (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Radical_Left) sections.
A plain red flag has often been raised or carried by socialists, left-wing (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Left-wing) radicals, and communist groups. Such groups have used both plain red flags and red flags superimposed (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Superimposed) with the names or emblems of their parties (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Communist_party), or social movements (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Social_movement). Red flags are often seen at protests (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Protest), demonstrations (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Demonstration_%28people%29) and left-wing rallies (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Demonstration_%28people%29) such as May Day (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/May_Day).
The red flag is most strongly associated in public consciousness with communism. It forms the backdrop to the flag of the People's Republic of China (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Flag_of_the_People%27s_Republic_of_China) and the flag of the Soviet Union (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Flag_of_the_Soviet_Union). Also, "waving a red flag" is a euphemism (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Euphemism) for incitement (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Incitement) (see bullfighting (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bullfighting)), and red is the "colour of defiance (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Defiance)."
The red flag has also been associated with social democratic (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Social_democratic) and labour (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Labour_movement) traditions, having been a banner used by parties such as Labour (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Labour_%28UK%29) in Britain, France's SFIO (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/SFIO) and similar groups throughout the world (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/World). But its use by social democrats declined sharply over much of the 20th Century (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/20th_Century) as many such people moved away from the left.

LOL.

I'm not crazy, it's out there the wife and I both have been wondering about this for a couple of months. Nobody else has seen it?

I ride by the park everyday on the Red Line but alas, it is always dark so I haven't seen it. At least they finally fixed the illuminated US Cellular sign on the side of the park. Half of it was burned out for months.
