The Yankees and Red Sox are sleeping soundly tonight.

The Jays' management never ceases to amaze me.

I guess that is one way to end your season. Frank has to be kicking himself right now.

West will you be rolling out the welcome wagon again? :redneck

Now all they need to do is sign Jimenez for utility IF and Kenny Lofton for 4th outfield.

That's a small price to pay to keep Buddy Lee off one of your rival's teams. He is the best SS ever to play SS ever.

Remember that game against the D-Backs back in 05? That was hilarious. He had what? TWO errors in an inning.

Oh wait, it was one. They ruled one a fielder's choice when he made the choice to hold on to the ball when he had not 1, but 2 easy possible plays to make.

I believe I picked Toronto to win the East next year. :mg:

Why sign him? They already have two light-hitting SS in Russ Adams and John McDonald.

Isn't Choice the guy who was wearing sneakers while sitting on the bench so he could move quickly in case Frank decided to come after him with a bat for sleeping with Frank's (now ex) wife?

I have no idea what Toronto is thinking...

I'm LMAO at how stupid this organization is. Ricciardi is clueless. At least maybe this will be the summer when we get to see Frank kill a man with his bare hands.

Thomas did try to kill Jimenez. Luckily for D'Angelo, the clubhouse broke it up before things got really nasty.

Clayton, 36, will be playing for his 10th major-league team and his sixth in the past six seasons.

Clayton's career on-base percentage is .313, and he has little power.

Clayton no longer is an elite defender, and his weaknesses could be highlighted playing on artificial turf at SkyDome. He still makes the routine plays, but had the third-lowest zone rating among the 15 qualifying National League shortstops last season.

Sounds like a great move to me!

Isn't that all he ever made? :?:

As for the FoxSports quote, I never knew he used to be an elite defender !?

Yeah, tell me about it. Elite compared to who....Mike Caruso?

I'd have rather had Kelly Dransfeldt as our starting SS than R(Ch)oyce.

Let me get this straight. The Blue Jays run out and offer a fat contract to free agent Frank Thomas to play 81 games on their artificial turf surface? And then they run out and sign Royce Clayton, 10 years after being washed up and good for hardly more than sleeping with Frank's ex-wife?

Toronto has to be the dumbest franchise in the entire American League.

Maybe with Hillenbrand gone, they wanted to make sure they still got some free boxing exhibitions

What's the over/under on the number of days until Frank tries to kill him?

Frank's probably too preoccupied with other things.

Did the Blue Jays change their hat? Or is that a batting practice hat (which doesn't make much sense).

I didn't even notice that. You're right...it's a "T" and not the "J". I have no idea.

The Big Hurt, introduced at a press conference yesterday, also helped unveil the new Blue Jays logo that will be officially introduced shortly.

There's no bird reference in the new logo, simply a stylized "T" on a black cap. The Jays have done away with their road grey caps and will alternate the new and old black models. There won't be other changes to the uniform.

I wondered the same thing, though it's possible she's wearing 'heels or platformed shoes.
