" ..............storied history ........" How many times are the Cubs going to describe themselves this way?

Cub fans, heres your chance to embarrass yourself for generations to come, and pay us for the priviledge, buy giving us $160 bucks to pave our own walkway!

Your disgust, while well-intentioned, is not accurate, as the Cubs initiated this program a long while back, way before we announced ours.

:o: Is this to pay for all the dramatic and over priced signings? I hope they have invented urine repellant for those bricks.

We copied off of the cubs, much like our greenery in CF. What are we going to do know?

So did we copy the Cubs because they started their franchise first?

Ugh!

EDIT: I think Hangar subscribes to the entire What's the Score forum!:redneck

I'm pretty sure various orgainzations and teams and the like have been doing bricks for years and years and years. Nobody is copying anybody here.

No kidding. Pittsburgh sold "Bucco bricks" about 5 years ago. My elementary school did it about 10 years ago. Did the Sox and Cubs copy my elementary school?

aren't the sox doing this for charity?

I don't see anywhere on that cubs thing that this is for anything but their own profit.

What will become of the bricks after Donald Trump buys the team and tears down The Urinal and builds a new stadium "closer to downtown?"

The Cardinals did it too.

The Tigers sold bricks when building Comerica Park for the 2000 season. I still have never found mine. They sent a letter stating in what general area it was.

I'm pretty sure Petco did it too. I remember hearing that someone snuck one in with something that said PETA or somethign like that.

You need to get out more.

I for one look forward to a less insane, Flubsessed WSI. This offseason could be the straw that broke the proverbial camel's back.

Actually, there may be some truth to this since the Cubs were called the White Stockings in the 1880's.
