Former Orioles pitcher Pat Dobson passed away Wednesday night at the age of 64. He was a good pitcher with a great pitching staff in the early 70's for the Orioles.

Man I still pitcher all the guys on my baseball cards as still being young.

Yeah, most of my baseball cards are from the late 1960s. Dobson was born in 1942, which would put him in his mid-20s on those cards. :o:

He was one of the four 20-game winners for the Orioles in 1971. Link (http://mlb.mlb.com/NASApp/mlb/news/article.jsp?ymd=20061123&content_id=1745691&vkey=news_mlb&fext=.jsp&c_id=mlb)

I'll always remember those great Oriole teams and that pitching staff.

It happened back in a time when baseball was baseball...

My condolences go out to his family.

I was saddened to hear the news about Pat Dobson passing away.

The four 20 game winners (Palmer, McNally, Cuellar, and Dobson) the Orioles had in their rotation in 1971 is something we'll never see again in our lifetime.

Those Oriole teams of the late 60's and early 70's were something to behold. Always fundamentally sound, they rarely beat themselves in a ballgame. And Pat Dobson was a big part of that Orioles dynasty.

R.I.P. Pat
