This looks good. I like Juan, and want him to keep playing for the Sox. If we pitch like we can the next few years, Juan is more than sufficient at short.

This may be the only time he "walks" in 2006. (Couldn't help myself, sorry.)

This story got about four short paragraphs inside the local rag. You know... the World's Greatest Newspaper...

"We searched far and wide for something akin to the Zapruder film proving his guilt, but no luck."

I don't particularly like Uribe as the Sox shortstop, but I'm glad that he's gonna get out of this one. We really don't need that right now. Or ever, for that matter.

I bet Uribe did nothing, but was his rotten brother, Elpedio

I'm glad to hear this.

Hopefully, this unpleasant run-in with the harsher side of life will not box his head any more than it already was last season.

Hopefully, the horrifying prospect of incarceration gives him a fresh perspective on his life as a ballplayer, and an incentive to refocus on his game, prompting an improvement in form.

Of course, it could mess his head up loads, and hamper his production.

My congratulations to Mr. OO-ree-bay, and best wishes for a break-out year with the bat, and a return to his stellar D with the leather, in 2007.

With signing players from that part of the world.

I would bet the whole thing was set up to extort money from Uribe. I find it very hard to believe Juan just started shooting because someone got too close to his car. And why was he such a bad shot? The "victims" were barely grazed by the bullets.

Ugueth Urbina is still sitting in a jail cell in Venezuala as far as I can tell for an "attempted murder" charge where the "victims" reportedly offered to drop the charges for cash.

The next time someone compliments his gun at shortstop, everyone's going to do a double-take.
