November 19, 1972 - Roland Hemond sends Tom Bradley to San Francisco for outfielder Ken Henderson and pitcher Steve Stone. Henderson was a Gold Glove winning, power hitting center fielder while Stone added depth to the pitching staff. Bradley never regained the form that he showed with the Sox and was out of baseball by 1975.

I can't believe athletes used to look like that. He looks like some guy who'd be sitting in the stands with his kid.

My favorite was Kent Tekulve of the Pirates. (I don't have scan tech, but
if anyone does...) One writer remarked that he looked like a high school
biology teacher.

I think that those are Photogray's. At least they look identical to the pair I had then!

biology teacher.Speaking of submarine relievers, I remember Dan Quisenberry always looked like an opening act at the Improv (and if you read some of his interviews and press conferences, he might have been pretty good at it!)
