I was just at lunch and CNN was reporting that the White Sox have dealt Jon Adkins and Ben Johnson (?) to the Mets for a pitcher named Heath and Royce Ring. Anyone hear about this?

That would be a hard trade to make seeing how Adkins pitched for the Padres last year. Though I wouldn't put it past Kenny to try to trade players off of other teams rosters.

Scratch that. I just checked online, and its the Padres, not the White Sox. Mess up by CNN TV. I didn't think we had Adkins anymore. Mods, please get rid of this thread. Sorry.

The Mets send Royce Ring (former Sox) & Heath Bell to San Diego for Jon Adkins (former Sox) & Ben Johnson.

I know Adkins was released but who did we get for Royce Ring? Was that one of the Roberto Alomar trades?

I didn't search the Sox Clubhouse for this thread since there are no White Sox in the trade... but it looks like someone posted this in the Clubhouse... sorry...

Adkins had a pretty respectable year for SD last season. Hopefully he continues his success in NY.

plus, didnt we trade ring to the mets for robbie alomar(the first time)?
